Title: MFT Axway Secure Transport
Location: Walnut Creek, CA/100% remote
Job Description
This individual desired to have experience in manage file transfer (MFT), (Would not mention product specific expenence as a requirement necessarily because we would rather get a lower cost resource and train in-house) specifically with Axway Secure Transport version 4.9 and higher as an administrator and developer. This individual will need to work in a team of Integration developers, administrators and architects for bigger projects but also independently to take requirements and build the interfaces from start to end for smaller ones. This individual will need to gather requirements and needs from internal and external users, recommend and design the solutions, develop, configure and implement the solution, and provide operational support. This individual will also need to rotate into 24/7 oncall support and are expected to work occasionally on after business hours and weekends.
Key Activities / Responsibilities
- Develops software (hands on code development) to meet key business objectives.
- Gathers business requirements and develop conceptual design and technical design for multiple projects concurrently Evaluates alternative solutions and recommends solution that best meets the need of the business.
- Translates user requirements into overall solution architecture for complex technical solutions
- Reviews computer system capabilities, work flow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
- Recognizes, identifies and documents potential areas where existing business processes require change, or where new processes need to be developed, and makes recommendations in these areas.
- Works independently and resolves complex problems with limited supervision.
- Recommends schedules and performs software improvements and updates.
- Assure compliance with the El standards, processes and procedures.
- Conduct quality management reviews, ensuring the application design and related work products satisfy requirements.
Competencies & Skills
- Excellent Knowledge of applications/systems integration
- Middleware knowledge 2-4+ years minimum of direct relevant experience in MFT.
- Experience in operating in a linux environment.
- Experience in scripting language In-depth knowledge of network transfer protocol; SSH, SFTP, FTPS, SCP, etc.
